About

Rose is an Iranian-born, California-based contemporary artist working across coffee, oil, and watercolor. With a background in anthropology, her practice explores human experience through figurative and symbolic forms. She is best known for paintings created with coffee on canvas, where gesture, erosion, and negative space examine themes of freedom, resilience, and quiet resistance. Her oil paintings demonstrate strong technical command across subjects including women, animals, and birds, while her watercolor works, often centered on children, embrace a lighter, more spontaneous sensibility. Rose has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions and is a member of the International Watercolor Society, Spanish Village Art Center, Southwestern Artists Association, and North Coastal Art Gallery. She lives and works in California.
